Accessibility Statement

This newsroom is designed and tested to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the current W3C Recommendation. WCAG 2.2 Level AA is backward-compatible with WCAG 2.0 and 2.1 Level AA.

This newsroom is substantially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA: most content on most pages meets the standard, based on our latest automated and manual review, with a small number of items still under manual verification (see Known Limitations below). We do not claim full, independently certified conformance.

• Published documents (PDF) are displayed in an in-page reader; their own accessibility depends on how each document was prepared. If a document is not accessible to you, contact us for an alternative format.
• Keyboard-only testing has been completed. Testing with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS and VoiceOver) is planned and has not yet been completed; any barrier found will be corrected promptly.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback within 5 business days and to provide a substantive response, including a remediation timeline where needed, within 15 business days.

Conformance is assessed with automated testing (axe-core, WCAG 2.2 AA rule set) on every public page type at mobile and desktop widths in both light and dark color schemes, run on every change in continuous integration, combined with manual review of keyboard navigation, focus order, touch-target size, landmark structure and ARIA usage.
